    @mcraenz: Not sure if it will help you, but you can set the timeout's how long the tv server will wait for the channel to descramble and the timeshift file to appear. IIRC it is unter SetupTV->GeneralSettings->Timeshift.
    Try to use higher values.

    I can confirm this, I have set my timeouts to 10~15 sec.

    Thanks Guys, I have tried putting the timeshifting timeouts up to 60secs for testing but still I get the No Video/Audio Detected the first time I try. There after everything is ok. ( I can re-produce this every time now)

    "retry loop", max 20 * 100ms
    Is it possible that my slow CAM is still not initializing after this amount of time/retries?

    So close yet still so far! :(

    this "retry loop" should only wait if the slot state is "unknown". all other steps (cam inserted, cam ok) are not affected.

    meanwhile I have removed this loop, but returning false as result. by this the upper components should retry by themselves.

    I'll post a new tvlibrary and tswriter this evening to test it...
