Maybe I can help you to save at least some time to upgrade to the new database structure. I just analyzed the old and the new format of the export.xml. The differences are just two new parameters at the end of the <TuningDetails> definition. So I took an ascii editor and just replaced "Band="0"/>" by "Band="0" "Pilot="-1" RollOff="-1" />" for the complete file. For me it worked quite well and I could import the channel list.

cool. but please be aware that if you use dvb-s2, then you MUST rescan all your sat's to get the right values into the db!

PS: Anyway the new TV-plugin is not working me.

ok, not a very precise description ;-)

1) I had the "Could not register tsreader.ax" error during installation. I just ignored it and registered tsreader.ax after the installation process manually. Worked fine.
2) I get no picture/sound on TV even if the server is streaming to my hard disk correctly. Reinstalled Rev15207 (only TV-plugin) and it works fine.

if you use multiseat, check the streamserver ip on the server.

if you use singleseat please attach your mediaportal.log after tuning a channel.

Client installer is missing the file msvcp80.dll, or at least it isn't installed WHEN installer tries to register the filter. You can download the file from:

http://mediaportal.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/mediaportal/trunk/TvEngine3/Filters/bin/msvcp80.dll

and save it to mediaportal base directory and then hit retry from installer.

Maybe mfc80.dll also, I just put missing dlls to mp dir and after msvcp80 tsreader.ax registered.

Still getting the "failed to register" tsreader.ax exception!
This occures when I try to install it on a 'remote' seat.. (so tvservice is not on this system).

Have a similar problem with this build, install this version (adding the msvcp80.dll as per rius's post). recreated my DB...can watch analog channels via my PCR-500 but no bideo or sound via the S2-3200 sat card. Can start timeshift and preview sat channels via TVsetup with no problems...very odd.

Just restored the TVplugin from svn 15220 and all works fine again.


easy to recreate so can provide logs if required.
