You need to have "2005 VC++ runtime" components installed (free from MS). Since there are some dependencies of the dvbsub2.ax. Perhaps some dev can look into this? Either update the req. section or include the .dll or whatever it needs to work ?

I found this link via Google - but after installation+restart I still get the installation error. Is it posible that there are more dependencies?

Which OS are you using.

If VISTA (possibly XP but not w2ksp4) then I noticed a problem where the RC2 instal used a default folder

'C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal'

for some files and that subsequent SVN builds used a different folder whithin

C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal.

This caused problems with my keyboard and subtitles 'DVBSub2.ax' within MP.

I had to uninstal RC2 and delete all folders.
Then instal RC2 followed by the newest SVN before running the config and or adjusting any xml file to enable subs.

I have the exact same problem - and I have, as milagroso, installed from the above link and rebooted without any change!?!

Edit: The machine im testing on is XP Home 32bit DK (and has been a bit 'buggy' the last 6month)
