I forgot to mention that the files are on another machine. Silly me, sorry. What do you by volume? Could it be that it loses connection to server, can't find the files, removes the files, and get the connection again, and starts importing?

The problem *IS* with the place holding the files. It is telling MP-TVSeries that it is available, but that the files are not there (or not ready yet in a wrong way). This leaves MP-TVSeries then with no other conclusion that you must have deleted the files, so it does the same to the database.

As @ltfearme pointe out, if the media location would not report that it is available, say you unplugged that removal drive, shut down the NAS box, pulled the network cable, etc, then MP-TVSeries would simply show the files as being "unavailable" inside GUI and wait for the import location to be brought back online again.

So your problem is not with MediaPortal or MP-TVSeries, but with your storage solution. Detailed debug logs will only highlight this and show you step by step when it happens, but it won't tell you how to fix it; that rest with whomever supports the way your storage works.
