Client/server connected via ethernet (Amitech 200MB HomePlug) and the transfer speed between them is good.

Video folders on server is shared with client via XP shared folders.
Problem: When playing video (XVID/MP3) the motion on screen isn't quite fluent - there is no sync errors, but it's like every other frame is duplicated and one removed (does that make any sense???)

Any ideas what causes this??? Should i drop the shared folders thingy and install FTP server on TVSERVER and use the MP option to retrieve content via FTP?? Is there some setting in MP i should use to let MP know that the video folder isn't local (=more lag, etc...)???
