    Hi all,

Because my wireless keyboard acts erraticly and my harddrive is running all the time, while Mediaportal is off, I checked Windows Task Manager, and discovered that:

TVserver uses about 50% of the CPU all the time after I shut down Mediaportal, sometimes it stops for a short wile, but then it starts again

SQLservr.exe uses 1GB of memory (I have the max of 3.6Gb), which I think is a little overdone, isnt it? Its just a simple database

This is so bad that it interferes with the performance of the rest of my system (Like typing this message took me 10 minutes, because I must do corrections al the time because it misses characters I type. ggrrrrgrrgrg)

No error log, because I dont think it is a real error, and mediaportal is off so no log is made.

    Thanks

    Lots

50%, mines running at 2-4% recording 3 channels on 2 transponders.

Have limited MSsql to use only 128Mb as per the instruction in the wiki and found mediaportal more responsive afterwards.

Also had the time delay if the memory was not restricted.

I am recording nothing, so it can only be the EPG grabber... not really as it hould be

Thanks for the tip, I didnt know you could limit the memory usage of the sql database.
