Hi,
Until now I used MP 1.1.1 with everything working fine. Recording - Standby, Standby with MP running, ...

Now I upgraded to MP 1.2.0RC with no changes in configuration.
Then I encountered that TVServer service prevented standby (doesn't matter if it was via manual command or by MP itself after recording) and no more commands via remote control were possible until I stopped the TVserver.
Then I activated checkbox "force standby even if prevented by other processes" and I could send the MPC to standby.

However, now I have the issue, when I send the MPC to standby while MP is opened and resume after MP freezes with black screen and needs to be closed via mouse "close". When I started watching TV was not possible anymor. I killed TVservice. Started MP again, but still not possible.

I have attached the logs from this procedure.

Is this a known bug? Should I create a bug report?
What can I do to overcome this issue?

Well for me it is the inverse. The system goes to standby while I am outside mediaportal doing other things: playing game, watching movies with other player. I had to declare each process in TVserver to not shutdown. This is very annoying and I do not have the force shutdown active.

    I found the solution:
MP 1.2.0 RC behaves different to MP 1.1.1 in matters of PowerScheduler settings.
So, with Server and Client on one machine in MP 1.2.0 RC it is necessary that in

TV-Server Configuration: Plugin Powerscheduler is activated and Suspend is selected.
MP Configuration: Plugin Powerscheduler needs to be activated as well but NO other settings than the default ones, which are:
    • (check) Only allow ... when in HomeScreen.
    • Hibernate selected.

do not check "shut down client" nor "force shutdown" (on second tab).
Maybe this information should be put clear somewhere (e.g. installation guide or in the window itself).

Can somebody please set this thread to "no bug"?
    :D

Sorry Bart but I do not understand why you said it is not a bug. You recommend to put different settings in server and client of power scheduler. Which does not make sense.

in my person al case the system goes on standby and I have not checked force shutdown.
So there is something wrong there.

Well, in my case it was the other way round. TVServer or Mediaportal prevented to go to standby and the solution for me was the different settings.
