Twinhan 1020A not detected, can it be done? (1 Viewer)

MediaPortal Version:
Windows Version: xp sp2
CPU Type: amd athlon xp 1700
1. TV Card: Twinhan 1020A (red)
1. TV Card Type: dvb-s
1. TV Card Driver: BDA 1.2.3.8

I can't for the life of me get mediaportal to detect my card in the TV configuration. MT has no problem detecting it with BDA driver. I tried following the directions posted here: http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/Add_TVCard_to_natively_supported_list
but had no luck because when I got to step 6 I had two problems:
1. the connection from the DVBS network provider filter and the DVBS tuner filter could not be made.
2. the DVBS tuner does not have an output pin to connect to the Capture filter.

Am I missing something, or is this card just not going to work with MP?

Hello, I am new to MP. I have the same problem as user carramrod and MP-TV-Server nor Media Portal does detect the twinhan 1020a card. According to the "supported tv-cards guide" it should be possible to use the card with mp. Windows' device manager shows no errors and drivers (Twinhan Technology 2.4.1.1 - 26.02.2004) seem to be installed properly. I can not detect the card with the tool EditGraph nor with MP. Although it is shown with twinhan native software twinhan Data and twinhandtv. With twinhan software the card picks up the signal from the satellite and watching tv is possible.

I would be very grateful for any helpful advice. Thanks in advance.

You're using the WDM drivers.
You ned to find BDA ones.

Hi DMAN,
Thank you for your quick response! Now I tried Twinhan's BDA 1.2.3.8. When I run the program THDrvSetup.exe an error message appears that I do need to install the device, but the card is installed. I have 2 questions: 1) where can I find a BDA driver which works for this card, and 2) what is the correct way to install it?
