Twinhan: BDA various tried but all stutter. Now want to try v 1.2.1.9

Hi,

I have been struggling to get rid of stutter with the Twinhan VP 3020c. I have tried the later versions 1229, 1230 and they work but not without stutter, making it unuseable. Popualr opinion has it that the BDA drivers version 1219 are stutter free. I have tried to install these, but get a 'can't create graph' error with the rc2 capture card definitions xml, & after adding the latest capture card definitions xml file, mp can't see the card at all. I have copied the logs below, these are with the twinhan only:

Could some kind person point me in the right direction, my Nebula Digitv pci works fine in mp, but I would like to be able to use both cards if possible.

Problem solved, I have added an entry in the Capturecarddefinitions.xml to support this driver. So far working stutter free.

Hy,
can you post me the entry please ? I've extrem trouble to get my Twinhan
DVB-T PCI Card working with MP I tried 1.3 and 02 RC2 and for both some CVS but cant get running without probs. I tried 1.2.1.9, 1.2.2.7 , 1.2.2.9 and 1.2.3.0 and 1.2.3.1 I think best runnig are 1.2.1.9 and 1.2.2.7 but can't get 1.2.1.9 running with RC2 Maybee you have some tips for a newbee how to get it work. I added the lines below to the CaptureCardDefinitions.xml (the latest from the cvs page) so that the twinhan bda drivers 1.2.1.9 would be recognised using notepad. Cut & paste the lines below to the end of the file:

Make sure you insert the extra lines between the last </tv> and the </Capturecard> entries.
This sorted my stutter problems in mp, hopefully it will solve your problems too.

But I can't find the software. Please tell where can I find the software.

It's been a solution for ages however it's not included in the standard definition as it has to vary depending on the card type. i.e. DVB-T, DVB-C or DVB-S.

I wrote to Twinhan again recently for an updated driver fix and they replied outlining they will look into it again after Chinese New Year.

So in the meantime you have to do the above.

I can't remember exactly where I got the driver, probably from the aussie site dvbowners dot com. But If you want a copy pm me with your e-mail & i'll send it to you.
Since Twinhan seem to have broken all subsequent drivers (at least for some of us) perhaps v1.2.1.9 could be posted in the site downloads section. I notice v1.2.2.0 is there already, but it stuttered on my setup.

Could someone post a working Capturecarddefinitions.xml file for this? I'm using 1.2.3.0 with RC2 with a lot of stutter. I've tried the solution above, but with no luck (probably some problems with my typing)
Got 1030A (DVB-s) by the way.

Would love to get rid of the stutter!
