I am having trouble setting up my TV cards. I have one Dvico Dual Digital 4 and one Dvico Dual Express. Both of these cards, as the name implies, have dual tuners and you should be able to watch one show while recording another. In fact I should be able to record 3 channels and watch a forth. As soon as I start recording the screen goes blank and all the text on the buttons goes away. I can't select any other channels. What am I doing wrong? Is there something I am missing.

Select EVR as Video renderer, this is found in MP config (expert mode enabled top right) directshow filters\renderer, make sure aero enabled (default on).

ok when you start media portal do not go full screen and try recording
and have you added the channels to all tunners in mp server

ps are these cards pciE or pci

if there pciE then remove at least one gig of ram i asume your running 64 bit vista

I have scanned channels on both cards but I am not sure if I am adding them to the tuner or not.

One card is PCI the other is PCIE

I am running 32bit vista as I was told the drivers for these cards under 64bit are very unstable.

PS. Once I sort out all these bugs in my system I can see it being an awesome program.
