Hi guys, I finally got my new rig up and running. and now ready to use MediaPortal, after using popcornhour c-200 for 2 years.

my motherboard has a built-in VGA, with HDMI output. I also installed a Gigabyte HD 6870 card. By default, when installed the gigabyte card, it disables the built-in VGA.

now, im a user who watches tv and works on PC at the same time. So if there is a time when i want to watch a movie via mediaportal, I'll be working on my PC too, but this can't be done, since my PC will be running mediaportal.

I have two outputs, a 46'' LED samsung and Epson 8350 projector.

Is it possible to enable the built-in VGA, and define media portal to run only via that video card, and I can continue working on my PC through my second output (e.g. TV)?

Thanks

If your setup in windows has proper multi monitor setup MP can be setup to run on one dedicated monitor (enable the screen selector and select the one you want mp to run on, see Start/Resume Settings 1.2.0 * - MediaPortal Wiki for the 1.2.0 Version).

I can not help you with enabling both GFX cards, that is system setup (check your BIOS, it should have an option to allow the internal card to run along an additional GFX card). Otherwise your HD 8760 should handle 2 monitors as well, I think.
