Freeview are re-organising their transmissions which means you will have to retune your DVB-T tuners (if you're in the UK).

As far as I can tell this is a channel reorganisation, not a frequency change which should mean no changes are required to MP config.

I've just tried to retune and I can't find ANY channels, on ANY transponder.
I've tried my local (UK - Oxford) country parameter, and after that failed I tried 'UK - All Regions' which also came up with nothing.
Every transponder in the list (1tp - 49tp) came up with NO SIGNAL.

I'm using a Hauppage Nova-T-500 dual tuner.
Could this be the cause ? I see that there are a few (older) set-top boxes which apparently won't work after this date either http://www.freeview.co.uk/_retuneinfo/_format/downloads/SplitNitProductListAndContacts.pdf

Any ideas gratefully received.

FYI - I can still receive the channels I had before the retune, except Channel5 (no big loss!)

Sorry Steve, I can't help you on your exact issue as I don't have a Nova card, but I have done a re-scan in London to Crystal Palace and while it picked up all the channels, I now can't watch Five.

I'm told the MUX movement of channels does not change the frequency - that I am not so sure of. So, I will try an old export file with settings for the channel and see if I can get it working.

Has anyone else had problems with channel re-scans?

    Hi,
    I have a T-500 and the retune was pretty straight forward for me. The only snag I hit was that I use combined channels (I have a DVB-S2 card as well), and for some reason the settings for the new Five did not seem to update the combined entry. In the end I deleted that one channel and then did a rescan for both freeview and freesat, then re-merged that Five data. everything seems to be back working again now...

    I agree with the last post. Having gone back and deleted the freeview channel info for Five and re-scanned the tuner cards, I am now able to view an EPG for the channel as well as view it.

    From the comments on digitalspy website, we are not alone in the c*ck up caused by the channel line up changing.

    Following the replies about successful retunes I've tried again and had some success.
    I cleared all the channels and then did a rescan.
    It worked and I even have Channel5 !

    Are you running 1.1.0 by any chance? I tried retuning with this version today and it only found one of my 6 local multiplexes. V1.0.2 and DvbViewer both found all channels first time round on the same kit. Last time I tried 1.1.0 it took 3 or 4 attempts to find all the channels (and sometimes it failed to find something it did find on the previous scan 5 mins earlier!). There seems to be a tuning/channel scan problem with the current beta release and it's worth retrying if you want to continue with 1.1.0. I'm sure it will all be fine by the time that the full release happens.

    I was running 1.0.2

    I first tried the retune at 3:30am, perhaps the oxford transponder was "offline" then, because it worked the next day at around 6pm (peak time).

    I am going to try v1.1.0 though - my 1.0.2 system has since "died" - all I get now when I try to select a channel is "no video/audio Unknown problem" !

    On a (I think related) topic, can anyone help me;
    I have done a rescan (using UK All regions as the Emley Moor settings didn't find all of the new Mux settings) and now I'm able to view and record all channels. However any recordings made before the rescan have lost their channel logo and I am not able to delete them (if I try, from the recordings menu, to delete a recording the first stage is OK but I don't get the Yes / No confirmation stage it just goes back to the menu). Recordings made after the rescan have all logos present, can be viewed and deleted fine.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    If you've deleted all the channels and re-scanned MP loses the association between the channel IDs and the recordings (so they don't show up in MP or don't work correctly), and deletes all of the recording schedules.

    The way I fixed it was to temporarily rename the TV recording folder (so MP can't see it), then go TV server config -> recording settings -> database import, hit the 'Remove no longer existing files' to remove all the old, invalid database entries. Close TV server config, rename the TV recording folder back to the original name, then go TV server config -> recording settings -> database import (which should now have all of the recordings listed), hit the 'Import selected files' to add them back into the database.
