Just as a matter of interest, if "allow epg grabbing during recording\live tv" is enabled (Argus setting) cannot remember TVServer equivalent offhand, surely any broadcast change should be picked up by that, would need a good sports event to test that one out, never tried as usually to busy watching

But then you use comskip to remove the adverts and padding, so hopefully only the show is then seen

Never got Comskip to work anything like usable on UK Tv shows though.

Hi Ray, pretty sure I did but I'll give it another go if your using it with success - I tend to record off ITV1, C4 and CH5 - does you ini cope with those ok?

Usually works fine for those channels, have to initiate skip once if playing from recorded tv, then it will go automatically all the way through recording.

The only time I have a problem is with BBC channels, for some unknown reason it cuts off the last minute of a show occasionally

Must put forward a suggestion to turn on\off "use comskip file" from MP's GUI, that would solve the BBC problem, at the moment if a series, I edit the recording profile in FTR to not run comskip as post processing.

Ah yes makes sense - is the not-skipping from recorded TV not solved yet in 1.2.2 seems like that's been around a long time now - still not a biggie. I'll give it another go and see how it works then if your having success with it - I'll do the same and remove post processing from BBC programmes.
