My HTPC crashed (system disk dead). No probs, rebuild from scratch, done it heaps of times. I have now spent 2 days trying to get MP to recognise my digital card. Tried Dvico FusionHDTV Dual card, Twinhan digital, TV@nywhere Duo, all have worked in my HTPC at some time or other. All return the same error during configuration, cannot build graph. All work Ok with their own software, graphedit runs ok with all. They all fail at the same location "add stream analyzer", see the atteched configuration.log extract. Clean install XP Sp2, .net 1.1 and 2, latest XP pathes. Help please, going spare here.

Which mpeg codec are you trying to connect too.

Run Filmerit, just to check codecs\filters.

Use the MPTestTool under mediaportal program folder and try adding cards and tune, then post full logs.

Take it you are using the Dvico 3.63 driver, not tried this one yet, running daughters pc with dvb-t dual with 3.41 ok.

Was this a clean install, or did you drop a backed up copy of MP and its settings into the MP folder.

Thanks for the response, this is a clean install (from scratch). I wish I could drop my old install in as I finally had it running like a dream with STB, single remote, EPG etc, even my 5 year old kids could use it and the WAF was high (rapidly getting lower).
I have attached the logs from MPTestTool and Filmerit, Filmerit showed errors, but could not make sense of them (not familiar with tool).

For a new install you have a lot of filter errors, i take it you have been installing\uninstalling bits then

First can i ask you to remove any TV cards that are showing in MP config and shut setup down.

Run Filmerit so your errors show, press the padlock button and accept the agreement.
This will now allow you to automatically repair the errors shown, then use the big red button to repair (usually means deleting registry entry).

reboot

then try adding your cards.

I will give it a go tonight. I don't know why there are so many errors, I havn't uninstalled a single bit of software yet and have only installed the latest drivers for the cards ????

Should be in your system32 dir - regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\MPSA.ax should fix it

I had this problem after a clean install of WinXP MCE followed by a few drivers, updates and codecs and then MediaPortal 0.2.3.

Thanks for that, I have it working now after a complete re-install of OS. Formatted disk and started from scratch. Now I have everything working again except the MCE blaster to change channels on the STB. Flashes it's little red eye, but the STB is not seeing any valid messages. Will keep trying.
