i have actually started crying now.

it used to work, it was flaky and slow, rc1 came out so i wiped my machine and started again and now i can't get the setup wizard (only the big setup). And i get
"unable to create graph" twice when trying to add or edit my tv card.
my tv card is a DTV1000 t.
i'm using the drivers from the site, and the software that comes with it (WinfastDTV) works perfectly. but for some reason MP is upset with it.
REading some of the other posts (apparently there is or was a sticky but i can't find it) i have to match the id in capturecardefinictions to the entry in capturecards
i have tried matching them up, they wre the same except on has a # format and the other has a ; format. but same error.
Please can someone help.

hi,
sorry that's not very descriptive of me is it?
i'm currently using 4.0.112.3221
the leadtek site offer two drivers for xp.
one for xp and mce
http://www.leadtek.com/eng/support/download.asp?downlineid=142&downline=WinFast+DTV1000+T

the others are called WHQL drivers and actually appear to be for the dtv2000
i'm just about to try using those drivers.

i'm not sure if they are bda drivers, but i think so because two of the 4 items that load with the drivers have the word bda in them.
not much evidence i'll grant you, but leadteks site appears to have been designed by someone who likes the 80's and crack cocaine.

success! using the wrong drivers fixes the issue.
f*ck me, they don't make it easy do they?
if you use the proper drivers "the latest xp drivers" it won't work; but if you use the
drivers called "the latest WHQLed driver" version 4.0.112.3218
which are linked to
ftp://ftp.leadtek.com.tw/tv_tuner/DTV2000H/Driver/XP32bit.zip
(note my car dis a dtv1000 not 2000) it works.

thanks for everyone's help with this.

i'm off to rape the pets of all leadtek employees and make them watch. Some may says that's a little harsh, but i'd wager those people don't have a surplus of gaffer tape, sturdy chairs and about 7 hours of frustration to release.
