First of all I would like to say what an impressive program Media Portal appears to be, nice job!

I've been trying for a couple of days and thought it was time to ask. Although my tuner is supported I am getting two "Unable to create graph messages" when trying to tune The error log has the following in it... (see the end)

And this seems really similar to the message given in the following link when an encoder is not installed. However I've installed several now. Have I made a beginners mistake?

Well I've recreated the graph in graphedit and it works no problem.
Also the software has no problem detecting the tuner is present... but when it tries to tune it comes up with the unable to create graph error (twice)

Is this likely so software encoder issue/encoder configuration? Does anyone have any experience with the TV2GO?

So is there anyone out there who can help?

    jkwnz,

Can you see the Encoder Settings in MediaPortal configuration like the link shows?

Also, post the complete log, including the Configuration.log after using it. It might give us more tips.

Try installing the trial version of cyberlink power cinema, this fixed the issue i had originally with building the graph.
It has the cyberlink MPEG encoder installed with it and i believe this is what fixed it for me
it does not matter about the trial running out, just leave it installed

    Firstly thanks for the help...

And you're right I hadn't noticed there are no encoder settings.

I will try the cyberlink encoder and see what happens

Installing the Cyberlink trial fixed the unable to graph issue! :D

    Problem 2.
I can now tune in the channels, however when I run media portal and select TV, the media portal screen disappears back to the desktop minus the taskbar. The computer freezes and the task manager shows media portal running at 15-25% however the task manager is frozen as well so you cant force the application to close

Since the first problem has been fixed I'll close this thread and start another. :D
