After beginning the install .exe, I get a pop up warning that the program cannot be installed without DirectX 9c, then the installation is terminated. Windows 10 will not roll back to the earlier version of DirectX. I am running an HP desktop. I wish now I had installed Media Portal with Windows 7 before upgrading the operating system. Is there a way to work around this problem?

Are you attempting to install MediaPortal 1 or MediaPortal 2?
I'm asking you this because this section of the forum is for MediaPortal 1 questions/support, but from the nature of the question I suspect you may be attempting to install MediaPortal 2.
