Hi all,

I have recently updated to the latest version (2.2.1) of MP2.
In this version it seems no longer possible to map virtual sent keys in the input device managment of MP2.

Does anyone of you have the same issue or is it just related to my setup?

My setup:
As remote control I am using a Logitech Harmony Touch in combination with the infrared receiver "IR-WakeupUSB eco" from atric and EventGhost.

Thanks
Mara

I finally found time to test with the HID Demo tool.

All keys sent by my remote are recognized as expected in the HID Demo tool.

Basically my remote is working fine with MP2.
The problem I have is that I am not able to change the default key mapping by the configuration screen.

On this screen my remote is not recognized.

Hi henso

I finally found the time to follow your suggestion.
I have tried it at 10:45.

Thanks

Hi,

I noticed that currently the handling of the input device manager is being adapted.
@Brownard as you are touching this part of the code would it be possible to bring back the ability to map virtualy sent keys (e.g. emulated by EventGhost) as it was working prior to version 2.2.1?

I can have a look, can you give a bit more info on your setup? Does EventGhost generate/forward all keys to MP2, I.e. they are not coming from your remote directly?

I am using a Logitech Harmony Touch in combination with the infrared receiver "IR-WakeupUSB eco" from atric and EventGhost.

    Basically it works the following:
    1. The IR receiver receives the signal
    2. EventGhost recognizes the key pressed on the remote control
    3. Based on the recognized remote control key, EventGhost emulates a mapped key combination (e.g. ctrl + a)
    Hope this helps.
If you need more information, let me know.
