As title says, have another program called media center master which is accessing the tvdb.com with no problem, so its not them having trouble.

Really scratching head on this one, so any help appreciated, even gone as far as disabling windows\router firewalls and no change.

    Thanks

Are you going over any proxies....anything out of the ordinary with your connection?
Was it the upgrade to 2.6 that caused this, I assume the old version worked? Or did it just stop from one day to the next?

It is also possible your ISP is somehow filtering stuff. A while ago we had some users with isps that require a user-agent string to be set with any connection. And yes, that is stupid. But you never know.

You have a ton of plugins enabled, one of them might be causing a conflict.

Try to go bare on the setup and try again, the more you can eliminate as the cause, the easier it will be to find a working solution, after which you can start figuring out the cause of the problem.

Use Fiddler2 otherwise to diagnose what is going on behind the scenes on the actual internet traffic.

    Hi Inker and RoChess

Pretty sure not a network problem accessing thetvdb.com as Media Center Master can get data fine, but tried disabling all unnecessary plugin's and no difference :(

Just rolling back to RC6 install to see if I can pinpoint this down, especially as I'm using a few modified binaries which I might have to ditch and report back on ;)

Even dumped the MovPic's db and that rescanned fine.

Been on a course this week and my brain is in information overload, sorry if not a very good report.

    :D

    OK SOLVED, YIPPEE :D

Now how, because without it there is no point :(

Just to start with my internet connection wirelessly has alway been iffy to say the least, but now I'm hardwired for the last month, thanks to my daughter nicking my pci wireless adapter because her pc was having connection difficulties.

In the past, I always setup a fixed ip address for each pc on IPV4 on adapter with dns settings, which for me solved many dropped connections, as now hardwired did not bother, utorrent etc had no problems plus getting good download speeds, considering MovPics worked albeit slower than expected did not even suspect anything internet setting wise, but found by re-entering these details into Nvidia adapter for fixed ip with dns settings everything now works hunky dorey, just hope this may help someone else, because I had just almost given up trying to figure out why not working, even the solution has me a bit baffled.
