In windows 8.1 you have the new "button" on the left corner. I click on that one and then "Shutdown" ...

Okay. I'm not very familiar with W8 (still using XP), but I think that can be configured to do hibernate, suspend/standby/sleep or real shutdown.

I test it this evening.
In Belgium it's just 8AM and I am not at home.

Weird i did now a restart instead of shutdown.

Was just going to suggest that as an alternative!
I'm now convinced that your tuner can't handle standby/resume [with the current driver] and for whatever reason (not blaming you) your shutdown is not a proper shutdown. A restart is a temporary workaround, but I think you need to find a way to properly shutdown the PC otherwise you'll keep having this problem.
