Hello i have been trying to get my tvcard to work with Media Portal for about 2-3 days now and i have gotten as far as being able to watch SVT 1 and SVT 2 which are free channel but now i hit a wall and can´t get any further by myself.

When i try to watch any other channel then SVT 1 or SVT 2 with my Terratec Cinergy C PCI HD CI i get the message "unable to start graph" and nothing more.

I was thinking at first that it might be an issue with not finding the CAM on the CI but that´s not the case. If i unplug the CAM i can´t even watch SVT 1 and SVT 2 so the CAM seems to work the way it should.

I have tried to use the latest beta release and to make a complete new installation of media portal with the 1.1.3 stable version but i get the same error on both versions.

I have tried using diffrent drivers aswell but with no use. Some drivers doesn´t even find any channels and it seems it´s the same problem with other drivers "unable to start graph" which makes me think that the problem might a configuration in Media Portal or maybe a bug.

The log files are attached like they should and now i just pray that someone can help me with my problem because i just can´t seem to find any posts on the forum which sorts out this kind of problem

Hi,

Very sorry to hear you've had problems. I'm afraid there's actually a bug in 1.1.3 with Terratec cards and drivers (from your logs it looks like you're suffering from it). This is fixed in 1.2.0 beta. Would you be willing to upgrade to it? It's very stable although technically it's not intended to be used in production.

Hello and thanks for commenting so soon i wasn´t expecting anything untill tomorrow or in a few days.

Well the thing is that i was using the 1.2.0 beta first and because i got this problem i switched to 1.1.3

Though i have to admit that i didn´t do a complete uninstallation of my old MP installation, maybe 1.1.0 beta or something, before i installed 1.2.0 beta and that might have caused bugs.

I´ll make a complete uninstallation of 1.1.3 tomorrow and i´ll install 1.2.0 beta again and i´ll check if the same thing happens.

If it doesn´t fix the problem i´ll comment again with a new log file from the 1.2.0 beta installation.

Hello again

I made a complete uninstallation of the 1.1.3 version of Media Portal and i even reinstalled the same drivers for the tv-card and then i made a new channel search. Just like in the 1.1.3 version there were no problems in finding the channels.

Though when i was going to watch them i have the same problem with the 1.2.0 beta version as i had with the 1.1.3 version. That I can only watch SVT 1 and SVT 2. The only diffrence is that it´s not the same error message, now it says "Program/channel not found"
instead of "unable to start graph".

I have attached a new log file were the 1.2.0 beta is making the same problem.

I pray for a fast respons just like last time

It's strange, it can now tune to the stream but cannot find the channel on it:

Do literally all the channels apart from the 2 you mentioned give the same error? Sorry I don't really know much about cable, it could be that our transponder list for your provider is out of date. I'll ask someone else to see if they know more...

Well i can watch some of the some of the SVT 1 and SVT 2 information or news channels but every other channel i have tried gives the same error. Though I haven´t tried all the like 144 diffrent channels just the ones i know i should be able to get in like channel 1-9, channel 24, disney channel, boomerag etc.''

Btw about the transponder thing. There is no Canal Digital search option for sweden so i use the manual scan

Frekvens = 362000 kHz
Modul = 64QAM
Symbol = 6950

and i find 24 transponders and that´s how i get the channels.

Firstly, just to be very clear, the issue that you've avoided by upgrading to 1.2.0b only occurs if you attempt to tune to the same channel twice in a row. It is annoying, but not the worst problem ever.

Note that the frequency being scanned is 218000, but the frequency saved to the database is 210000. Why? Well I'll have to look deeper into the problem. Give me some time please...

No problem. If you manage to fix this issue i would be VERY HAPPY because i LOVE Media Portal and i DON`T want to have to change to another software because of a bug

A quick question: do you use the "search for transponder list" scan option?

Yes I use the "search for transponder option" and i find 24 diffrent transponders and then all 24 is searched to find all channels. You want me to try a new search save all transponders i find, delete all channels i have and then search all 24 individually and see if the same problem occur?

This is just a theory but doesn´t the channels frekvenses etc get saved to a certain file? Woulden´t it be possible to alter this file manually? I mean like replacing 21000 with 21800 and that should in theory make MP search 21800 when i try and watch the channel. I know it doesn´t solve the problem but it´s a fine "work around" and a way of testing.
