On my system MP will only descramble the channel selected first. Once I switch channel I get the error: "Unable to start timeshifting. Channel is scrambled." This happens only for scrambled channels that uses the cam. All free to air channels work without any problems.

My workaround is to have the commoninterface.exe process (from digital everywhere) running in the background. Then I switch between all channels without errors. The major drawback of this workaround is that once the cam is left idle, i.e. don't using scrambled tv or radio signals, the UI of commoninterface keeps popping up and closing repeadedly.

Shouldn't MP access the cam and descramble the tv-signals without having CI running in the background? See attached log files. Help on this matter would be very appreciated :)

With other words:
Do I have to run the ci tray tool (commonInterface.exe) to be able to descramble TV signals with MP when using FloppyDTV?

You should not have the commoninterface tool running.

Be sure to have set cam to enabled for your tv card in the tv server config. Edit: In your logging i see you have this enabled.

Thanks for your reply. Then I have understood it correctly.

However, I cannot get it to work without running the CI tray tool.

Are you sure you have set cam to enabled? (Just making sure i do not interpretate the logs incorrectly)

Yes. I have ticket of for "CAM enabled and present for this card".

The rest of the settings are:
-This card can decode 0 channels simultaneously.
-CAM model: default
-Grap EPG - enabled
-Prelaod card - disabled

Should that not be -This card can decode 1 channels simultaneously?

I've tried both 0 and 1 channels simultaneously and there's no difference :(

It's really troublesome having to use the CI tray tool to be able to watch tv with MP..
Don't understand what's wrong.

this looks wrong to me, the PMT size is much too large and DE api will reject / ignore it.

    please try following:
    • install MP 1.1.0 alpha
    • update to latest svn build
    • test again ;)
