However I used the CleanUp function before properly saving them. The result is they are no longer visible in the MP Recordings list. However when I got to the recordings directory on my h/d I can still see the files with the .dvr-ms extension. I've tried using VideoReDo to convert these files to mpeg and place them in the MyMovies directory, however VideoRedo can't process the files. I think there is some setting in the file that has been changed when I deleted them with the cleanup.
