Underscan when watching TV (1 Viewer)

Hey everyone,
i have just installed the newest CCC (12.8) since i was hoping my problem would be fixed but unfortunately nothing really changed.
Here's my Problem:
When the Computer starts an underscan mode is active so that the actual size of my monitor is not completely filled (ugly black space on all 4 sides)
As soon as windows starts the ccc enables the overscan mode so that the image i recieve on my monitor is actually just as big as my monitor.
This doesn't change in MP as long as i do not watch tv - as soon as i turn tv on the sceen blanks for less than a second and the underscan mode is active again - very fugly black borders...
Is there anyway i can change this? I'd rather have no under/ovescan mode at all but just have the videosignal fit the screen automatically if that is possible.

Hi there,

The underscan settings in CCC are specific to the frame rate.

Are you sure you haven't set it right for you default frequency (eg 50hz), but when you start TV the frequency changes (eg to 60hz) - so you under/overscan settings need reapplying?

Try manually setting the frequency in CCC for all your media types and adjusting overscan.

Thanks for the answer but... well let me ask... isn't there any option to turn off the underscan alltogether...?

Turn it off?

You can set it to 0??

You can try and "attack" this from potentially two sides...does your TV support different scanning modes? (JustScan/Overscan/underscan)

Or adjust it at the GPU end.
