Unhandled Exception - Basic Home (1 Viewer)

Hello,

Everytime my MediaPortal loads up, I am getting a error box with a "Unhandled Exception" in basic home. Please see attached screenshot and associated log of the contents of the error box.

I have tried upgrading StreamedMP to 1.7.7 and also updated MP to 1.2.3 without any success.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do or if anyone has suggestions.

The crash was in the world weather plugin. Disable that and it should work

Hi, thanks for the quick reply... I disabled the weather plugin, cleared the cache and generated the menu again... Looks like it is working

Good. You sound report that error to the dev of the world weather plugin.

Hi, I don't even know where there forum section is, nor do I use the plugin... I tried to find them in the forums, but, they do not have a forum section...

Make sure you have version 0.50

Thanks for the reply... It is still giving the error message.

I don't really even want the plugin! But, I will try updating and see how it goes.

I just noticed that I never replied to this. It was a while ago, but, if anyone was searching the forum for a answer. I am pretty sure that I updated the version and then disabled it. From memory, that is what finally fixed the error.

Think I may have found an answer, find the mediaportal.xml in user files (shortcut in windows start menu) open in notepad, scroll to the very bottom and work upwards, thein you should find the worldweather plugin, with settings bellow it, these should be a 0 or 1, any other number will cause an exception, after that save and see if you can now configure worldweather, only if you want too of course.

ps. worldweather 0.60 is the current version, very cool.

Hi PD and thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. I have updated to 0.60. The only thing is, I like to keep my MediaPortal simple (TVSeries & Moving Pictures) that way there is less to go wrong! ha ha
