************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
    <system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

Thanks in advance.

Hi

Sorry to say but your video chip + memory will not be able to run Mediaportal, hence all the directx errors.

GeneralRequirements - MediaPortal Manual Documentation

:sorry:

Erm, thanks, but no thanks.

We already know that MediaPortal runs on my Toshiba Portege 2000 laptop with P3 750mhz, 512MB RAM and Trident Cyberblade XPi 16MB. Works fine on GeForce 2 GTS 32MB on a desktop machine as well(meets the rest of the requirements, Athlon XP 2.2GHz, 1GB RAM). Works fine on Mobility Radeon 9700 64MB and Pentium M 1.4GHz, 1GB RAM.
Sure, the devs like to leave some room to be on the safe side, however the minimum requirements on the requirements page are full of baloney. Those are requirements needed for recording and I don't do any recording.

So I would appreciated a little more information about the error, as I believe it has nothing to do with memory "insufficiency". I think the fact that the video card is running in dual head mode is what is causing this, monitor+tv out, however I think thats something that MediaPortal should be able to work with.

In the meatime I should probably update DirectX, and check the amount of allocated video memory for that chip. 64MB is maximum according to manual from Intel.
