To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.

For example:

<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>

When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.

I cannot reproduce your problem. Please describe exactly what you have to do to make this error come up. Like this: Start MediaPortal, do this, do that, ...

Also pls list your remote control settings and post your MediaPortal.log of such a crash session. Do you have Hauppauge's IR.exe running when you start MediaPortal?

Just some questions, no advice yet. We'll see what causes your problem...

Pls check this all with the latest CVS build (mediaportal-cvs-02-15-2006--08-56.rar or later).

Pls check this all with the latest CVS build (mediaportal-cvs-02-15-2006--08-56.rar or later).

What I have done to make the error come up:
I start MP. Then before I do anything else I push the Windows-key on the keyboard to go the Windows taskbar. At that moment the error I described appears (see further on for the MediaPortal log).

In MP Setup, Remote, Hauppauge remote I have checked 'Use Hauppauge remote' and 'External processes may use the remote control'.

I have the Hauppauge's IR.exe running when I start MediaPortal.

When I uncheck the setting 'External processes may use the remote control' in MP Setup, Remote, Hauppauge remote, the error doesn't appear anymore. Furthermore MP Setup, Remote, Hauppauge remote says that the driver components are not up to date. But I use the latest official IR driver for the Netherlands (IR.exe version 2.47.23203). The version of IR.exe that's under the link 'Click here for the latest drivers' is an older one (2.45.22350).

The problem is solved with the new Hauppauge IR components that now are on the New downloads section of the MediaPortal Homepage (IR32.exe version 2.49.23332). Channel switching with the remote goes much faster and smoother now. Thanks!!

Good to know. :lol:

So it really paid that I raised the required version number in code and uploaded the driver component. Thanks for reporting back!
