I did a new install (had my MP/HTPC project on hold for a while).
First during TV Server setup I got a crash (or actually TV service was running but was no longer able to use any tuner even after restarting tv service) with "Unknown error" during test timeshift (previously tried bith preview and manually timeshifting which worked fine) and was not able to either preview or start timeshift manually.
Upgrade Terratec BDA drivers to latest version, did a new scan (however original tuners were left in TV setup but deleted them but new tuners got number 5/6).
Seemed to work and started using mp front end. AFter while in live tv I got another "unknown" error. Also not able to get it back working without reboot. Look in log files, around 02:26.
Noticed that just before the crash Signal strength/quality was 0/0. Not sure if this is because there is already a problem and that there is a signal but reported as 0 or if it is really 0/0 and maybe that is the reason it is crashing. Maybe not being able to handle or clean up correctly after this condition.
Note: We do have some problem with signal/strength even when using ordinary TV. Usually it is fine with high strength/quality but sometimes we loose connection with frozen screen (getting backsignal after a few seconds). Might be a problem with antenna amplifier or something.
Also been trying both dvbviewer and Terratec tv program which have worked without any problems. I have never got MP working 100% stable however (from 0.9 using TVE2 to 1.1.1).
Will try 1.2.0 Alpha and see if it makes any difference. There is a "torture" test in TV Server setup right?
