According to this https://issues.team-mediaportal.com/browse/MP1-4303 the feature to unmute will be removed from PowerScheduler for 1.7.
Apparently "a basic replacement is provided in MP core since MP 1.6".

Can anyone direct me to this "basic replacement"?

I need to enable the option in PowerScheduler for this to work currently and am running 1.6.

+1 since upgrading to 1.7.0 the dreaded intermittent muting of windows sound device has come back and im keen to realise if there is such an option i need to tick

Are you using the " stop playback on removal of audio device? " using that option i dont have the mute issue any longer

Yes that Option is ticked.

It always happens when the htpc wakes up for a recording and then goes into away mode. Avr AMD TV are off in those cases because I am not actually watching.
When I then start avr and TV with htpc still on the sound is still muted - annoying.

I do have workaround with my Home automation system sending a IR command to unmute - however I don't like that as a permanent solution.
