Hi all. To any of you that know or use TUGG, I am announcing that a new program is now for release. It is written by the same person as TUGG and operates in a very similar way, except that it is much faster and uses less bandwidth.

Existing TUGG users will be very familiar with the new program and its settings.

The new program is DUGG and if you PM me I will send info.

The program works only for Australian TV and I am quite sure it provides the best and most reliable data by far, compared to the alternatives.

How do I configure MediaPortal to use it? I have found all the shows and channels and everything (I read the instructions).

I know this sounds strange but .. I don't know.

I don't have a working version of media portal.

But I do know that this program produces exactly the same XML and puts it in exactly the same place as the previous program.

More than 50 users of the previous program had no problem getting it to work with Media Portal. This is the first time I have seen this question.

Can any dedicated TUGG users help out with an answer here ?

King_Elfy: If MediaPortal is set up to take information from the tvguide.xml and you point DUGG to create this file in the xmltv folder in mediaportal and the channels are named the same as they are under your capture card then DUGG should work fine for you.

What exactly do you have to do in the TV Guide screen of Media Portal Setup?

Do you have the channels set up through MP or not?

If you run DUGG with whatever service you want it will generate you an XML file. Copy the file into your xmltv directory under MP ( if you don't have it setup to generate there ) and run MP setup. It will read the XML file and import the channels automagically for you.

If you already have the channels setup, but they have different names to the XML file, you can use the channelswap command ( see the dugg instructions for more info on this ).
