Attached www_imdb_com.xml file is updated US WebEPG grabber file. This should replace the current (old) imdb_com grabber. It supports basic EPG data for Start/End times, Title, SubTitle (if available), Description. This grabber file does NOT support genres. Users need to customize this file to add a local channel list using the instructions in the MePo Wiki Setup Guides.

The imdb_com grabber comes from the following message in the WebEPG forum and has been in use for over 1 year.

Thanks RonD! I just noticed my guide data wasn't updating recently and I was just starting on tweaking the grabber. Since I am new to things, I was stuck on figuring out how to ignore the &nbsp chunks in the HTML. Your grabber works great.

One thing I was wondering, is there a way to grab episode, season, genre and find out if the show is a rerun? Could this be done during grabbing of channel data or is it something that would need to be a post process after grabbing? I want to name my show files with the season and episode info and it would be handy if I could also only tell MediaPortal to record only the new episodes.

    Thanks!

This might be a better topic for the imdb_com message thread in the WebEPG forum. If you want to enhance imdb_com you could look into how to use sublinks. See wiki for more info

I don't use WebEPG, I use mc2xml/xmltv with the "-a" or "-b" option to identify new/repeat shows for recording. see

For season/episode support, you might look into some of the following tools like theRenamer, Filebot. TV Series gives me enough season/episode support and I've never tried any of these options.
