I had the same problem. Ziggo did move History HD to another stream and after a rescan History HD is added to the channel list, but MediaPortal doesn't remove the old channel and mapped the new channel to the old channel.

When you go to the TV Channel list in the TV Server and remove History HD (Has twice 'Ziggo' as provider) and do a rescan the problem is resolved. This is also valid for some other channels with double provider entries.

gr8 , checked if this is already on the buglist.. and it is.. (or looks like the same problem anyway)

0002889: Combined channels from two sources appear twice in channel group listing - MediaPortal Bugtracker

so should be fixed in RC3 ! thanks for the quick reply..

That is not the same. That one is about the group mapping, not that the channel ends up with two tuningdetails.

then you may have to honour of reporting it to the team :D

Then you first have to prove it is a bug and not a missing feature :). Tracking channel movements is very complicated because of the advanced tuning scenarios in MP (multiple sources). I think it is almost impossible with the current architecture.

sounds more like a feature request..

After reading your comment in the other thread i now see you are thinking the linked bug is the same as the problem here.

The problem here (channel gets two tuningdetails when it moves) is not what that bug is about. That bug is about adapting the configuration tool to be able to add and edit channels in the way it should work. That way when you open the edit screen of a channel you can see all attached tuningdetails, not just 1 although there are two.

The actual problem here (channel gets two tuningdetails when it moves) seems very unlikely to be fixed with the current architecture. For a user with only 1 type of channels (for instance DVB-C) it seems very straightforward, but it is not when you take into account that MP is build for a mixture of types (so you can have both DVB-C, DVB-T and DVB-S for instance).

aha.. you mean that you have rtl5 on Dvb-c and on Dvb-s, 2 tuningdetails for 1 channel ?

isnt this resulting in the same behaviour then ? 1 channel with 2 tuningdetails (or 2 providers) and only using 1 of them ?

but the workaround is easy, if the channel is not working anymore, just delete it and rescan .. not a biggie...

but thanks for the clear explanation .. it mentions multiple versions of dvb indeed..

    Hi,

I have a problem since yesterday (2-9-2010). Maybe it was there on 1-9-2010. I didn't watched TV that day. When I booted my MediaCenter I got fussy screens. NED 1/2/3 where mostly green. Other channels where also (partial) scrambled.

Is it possible that Ziggo refreshed the transponder-list?

Maybe its my hardware. I noticed reports about mine TV card (TT CT-3650)

    Someone more info about this??

EDIT; could someone tell my how I could find the transponderlist (if updated). I normaly use the predifined list onder Ziggo 5555

    EDIT2;

Just a question: Why don't you guys use the advanced channelscannning option "Scan for transponder list"? Works perfectly here in former Casema area (freq 372000, symbol 6875, 64QAM)

Trying this now... Hopefully it works...

EDIT3; My channels are still mostly green with "blocks" (partial scrambled). What did I mis?

    Many thanks in advanced
