I have been running MP 1.11.x on my laptop for months. Last week I upgraded to windows 10 and tried using MP for the first time. It seemed a little buggy, so noticed a new version on the website 1.12.0. I downloaded and ran the install. The install however fails when trying to install Visual C++ 2010, and the installer exits.

Is there a way around this?

    Hello Philster

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. MediaPortal definitely installs and runs fine on W10.

Is there an error message of some kind? If so, could you please attach a screenshot of it.
Also, have you tried installing the Visual C++ redistributable manually (this is the one you need - yes, you need the x86 32 bit version even if you're using a 64 bit version of Windows)? If so, what happens?
