Use external player only for specific plugins or directories? (1 Viewer)

I've been using MediaPortal for about a month now and quite like it. I watch a lot of anime and anime is best viewed with MadVR, xy-vsfilter (or xy-subfilter,) MPC-HC(or MPC-BC,) and LAV; however, I only need to use that setup when I watch anime. I don't need nor want that when I watch TV shows or movies with MP-tvseries or Moving Pictures. Is there a way to configure the external player to be used only within specific plugins(e.g. MyAnime3) or directories(e.g. my two anime directories?) I'd really like the MP overlay and features using the internal player with movies and TV shows. (well, I'd like it when watching anime too, but from what I've read I can't have xy-vsfilter and madvr using MP's internal player.)

Fansubbers even recommend the use of that setup. ASS softsubs don't display correctly when not using xy-vsfilter or xy-subfilter. For reference, I'm using MediaPortal 1.5.0 Final with the StreamedMP theme. I can give anything else as needed.
