Okay, here's the thing, I have a Hauppague HVR-2250 dual NTSC ATSC/QAM tuner which after fighting with drivers, works perfectly well for the analog and QAM stations off my cable system (Time Warner). Thing of it is, we subscribe to digital cable so we get a lot more channels than I can receive with the HTPC I'm building out. Yea, I know that I can hook my cable box to the input of my tuner and do the whole IR blast thing to change stations, but to me that's counter intuitive and seems excessive for what I want to do and plus, I can't watch one thing while viewing something else. My cable box is a Scientific Atlanta 4250HDC which has dual firewire and a USB connection in the back of it. My question is, can I use my cable box as the tuner through firewire so I can unscramble the content we pay for then stream the video to the HTPC and control it via firewire? In addition, since the cable box has *dual* firewire, can I stream 2 sperate video streams?
Thanks
