leigh75 --- I had the IRSS installed and enabled within the Media Portal Configuration application, in addition, have a "green"/enabled tray icon (IR Server Tray) on my htpc. When I click on the IR SERVER Configuration of the tray icon I see the various items to configure. The only items selected on my tray are the Microsoft MCE (for both Receive and Transmit). As far as blaster inside this tray configuration I see Serial IR Blaster and RedEye Blaster, USB UIRT and many other not check (IRTrans, IRMan, etc..). Now, when I go into the MediaPortal TV Server Configuration I see the TV3 Blaster Plugin and it is enabled. When I select it is when it give me the error. I only have two more plugins enabled....these are.... Schedules Direct EPG, and, XmlTv (also for epg).

OK, not sure of that! How can I reset it now and start over? Maybe take the Tv3BLAST files out and turn off both services (IRSS and IR Server Tray). Then copy back?
The way I did it was install MP first then IRSS. I then went to startmenu right click on computer and left click on manage. Then duble click on services just luck for IR service and TV service right click on the service and left click on stop. The best bet would be to uninstall both apps and reinstall in the right order. When you install IRSS check off all the boxes so every thing will work. Hope that helps. If you need more help you can add me to MSN so I can help faster if you wish my email is leighdog@live.ca.
leigh -- just reporting back a success! I proceeded to uninstall both (plugin and patch), and ensuring that the services were down. Kicked up the services again and all was good in the TV Server Config for me now to apply the settings/config. So, now I should follow these direction correct (http://wiki.team-mediaportal.com/1_...IRSS_(IR_Server_Suite)/Set_Top_Box_Blasting)?
