I want to utilize VLC media player to play online videos. When using the trailer button in Moving Pictures, the trailer plays in the internal player and is very choppy. I would like to bypass the internal player all together. I hav configured Moving Pictures to use VLC. Thanks for the help.:D

    I'm using Lav filters for all playback and see no choppiness, VLC is not a good player, just better at receiving streaming content.

    I would try different codecs or increase the amount of buffering before playback, or completely download file if you want the best result.

    I am having difficulty bring up the context menu (f9). When I hover over the arrow pointing left, I hear a sound, however, no action.

    Ray- on the buffering size, any reccomendations?:D

    Also, you can force vlc for specific sites....

    In the OnlineVideoSites.xml file

    C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\OnlineVideoSites.xml

    you can add player="VLC" to the site parameters:

    <Site name="Orf" util="Orf" agecheck="false" enabled="true" lang="de" lastUpdated="2011-09-02T13:50:03.7719449+02:00" player="VLC">
