Before IR Assistant i was using Girder and the winlirc plugin. It works fine but after the 30 day test trial you must pay for it.

So i was searching over the mediaportal forum and found "ir assistant". it's not big, easy to install and maintain, and it works wonderful with the skystar 2 remote.

Here are the 3 Steps you need to to:

1.) Download and install ir assistant --> http://www.irassistant.com/dotcom/v_current/download/IRAssistant_v3.5002_nodrivers.exe

2.) Download the ira_lirc driver --> http://www.irassistant.com/dotcom/v...p://www.irassistant.com/download/ira_lirc.zip
and copy the dll file to the home directory of the ir assistant.

3.) Start ir assistant (winlirc should be up and running !!!)

4.) Add the macros for your needs or download my ready to use cmd file (you need to import it to the ir assistant) --> http://brandy.motorradseiten.at/t35.cmd

any questions are welcome ;-)
