V3.0.7 Crashing On Startup (1 Viewer)

Hi guys,

Ive been using MPTagThat with no problems since I first installed MP 18 months ago. That was until today where some conflict/bug as become evident. Ive tried reinstalling but with no sucess. I just keep getting the splash screen followed by the error 'The Specified Module Could Not Be Found' (Exception From HRESULT: 0x8007007E).

After that the windows dialogue box appears saying that the program wil now close. I think the problem is something to do with scanning other drives, but not entirely sure so will post log report so you can see.

Anyway Just want to say thx for such a cool program and in advance for any help with this issue.




UPDATE. Just managed to get it running by uninstalling and deleteing the MPTAGTHAT folder in the APPDATA folder but now its hanging on the splash screen where its saying it loading settings. Ive tried to refresh folders but now im getting this unhandled exception which is displaying the same error code as previously stated.

Hmm, i can see no reason, why you should have a problem when you deleted the settings within the APPDATA folder.
This should be like a clean install.

Same here, two different computers, (Win 7) same error. Not on startup though. When I click on one of the files, then I see the same error. Clean install, delete appdata, did not help.

I will do you one better. The problem with me is a fake mp3 file. Every other program recognises the file as a mp3, but it is not. I think because of the scanning when MPTagThat, that it crashes on this fake mp3 file. I have tried to upload this file, but the board does not allow mp3 files. Otherwise you could see the problem for yourself.

I came to this outcome by process of elimination. When alone in a directory, MPTagThat loads the file but ever field stays blank. In a group it crashes MPTagThat with the Index error.

Yup, done that, hope it will help. This file (asnd others) was ripped with grooveschredder from grooveshark. other files 100% ok, only this bugger

Interesting. for me it doesn't crash.
It doesn't matter, if it is the only file in the folder or together with others.
it is just reported as corrupted file in the log.

Ok, clear. But with me on two computers it gives the error. Probably something of WIN 7, this JIT thing.
