Synopsis::

Hi All,

I stil can figure out why my system won't play VCD/Xvid/Divx, it plys fine in wmp.
I've also tried Meedio and it works fine there but I really don't like meedio it's missing a lot of features that I like about MP. I.e. Traillers, auto detection of new media, stacking etc...!

Can someone with a similar system help me ?

thanks

On various types of movie files: You'll have to add the extensions of the file types to the list in the setup: Mediaportal Setup->Movies->Movie extensions.
Trailers are available in your version, don't know where to find them though, I think somewhere in mymovies. If you can't find them scan Setup->plugin for something like mytrailers. Might have to turn it on? (just guessing here)
New audio CD's and DVD's should be autodetectable, but datamedia are indeed somewhat problematic.
What do you mean by stacking?

    Hi,

    this is the reason: Via/s3g Unichrome Igp (64 MB)

    Very bad onBoard graphics solution. Does not support VMR9 properly. Only Overlay works more or less with this chip. But overlay support was taken out of MP in the latest CVS.

    You should consider to buy a DX9 capeable card. I did use a VIA Epia-M quite some time, but did not get happy with it, because of this crappy graphics chip.

    Flip.
