[QUOTE="wouter1971, post: 936675, member: 84759"] Sorry for interupting in English but reading german language is easy for me, writing is something else :) I have also compared both too, i tried Openelec with the tvheadend tv server as plugin. This is really a fast booting (from bios screen 10 sec) combination. Configuration of tvheadend is done in a webgui and is very easy and has some nice extra fetures. Timeshift is lacking but that is for the next release of tvheadend. Picture quality is not really up to the MP standard but good enough. What i like about xbmc is that all is done in gui, it's fast booting, fast gui, much less configuration (no codec hell), very stable and Apple Airplay is build-in xbmc. All can be tried on a memory stick for your convenience. I think about switching to xbmc when it's more mature with live-tv (i need timeshifting). Like the Titan skin much. But i have seen many cases of codec hell the last year, and a less then stable MP in many cases. I think Openelec is a great HTPC appliance with a great WAF. Everytime MP is restarting from resume to prevent stuttering on nvidia and still video playback is less smooth then with XBMC. It is gonna be hard for MP the next months i think. MP2 must be quick and a switch to Linux can be a nice move too. I've been a MP lover for many years, but XBMC is on Linux and more mature on the WAF factor and less build-for-technicians only.
