version 1.1.3 hotfix (1 Viewer)

Hi,

trying to do some testing with older version and ended with some questions.
due to Windows 7 64 bit SP1, a hot fix is required.

trying to installed Alpha 1.1.5, recieved the unsupported OS

installed hotfix 1.1.3 worked fine as it said it would..
question: didn't I read that anything version after 1.1.3 will have the hot fix?

2: did an update to the sat list with version 1.1.3 it complained of an wrong sat config (or something like that)
question: the sat list update/config has been change which it why the error when trying to start the scan?

really sorry if this seems to be a waste trying to work with older version. (I do have images which give me this freedom)

it was just for my own sanity of what is going on and troubleshooting.

MP 1.2.0a was released before W7 SP1 (release news here - 1 November 2010), so run without the SP installed and things will be fine... else just ignore the message.

That is because 1.1.3 was released specifically in response to the release of W7 SP1 (release news here - 23 February 2011).

Fastsatfinder had been hosting our satellite tuning detail files up until very recently. They shifted to a new server and were experiencing capacity issues right around the time of the release of 1.2.0 final, so we moved the files to our own server. FSF were meant to keep hosting the files for backwards compatibility but if they haven't then use the attached satellites.xml file - it goes in C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\TuningParameters\dvbs (that is a hidden folder so paste the path into the Windows Explorer address bar if you haven't got viewing of hidden and system files and folders enabled).

wow.. talk about me living under a rock !...
I guess I got behind on the news cuz things were working great for so long.

my troubleshooting was in fact related to the update/downloading the transponder list (I wasn't able to scan)

I was thrown off when the list displayed downloading/downloaded and opening the dvb-s folder and it was empty (where did it go?)

I've just found your post related to this and sorry I missed it... the last post was about there was no solution to scaning HD channels.. is this still a problem?

I'm going to give this file a test and see if the update/scan is resolved

The files get deleted before they are replaced. Obviously if the files aren't downloadable (because FSF took them down) then they will be deleted and not replaced => empty directory.

I've just found your post related to this and sorry I missed it... the last post was about there was no solution to scaning HD channels.. is this still a problem?

That was only a problem because those people used the default FSF transponder definitions. MP expects a slightly different format.
