Ok, thanks this is very helpful. Not sure how channel 9 has got into the mix, I will look at getting a new splitter.
Do you think this would explain why I cannot get SS2 HD to work ? It's on the same transponder as SS1 HD which works fine, however it just refuses to show anything. SS2 SD is ok, but that's on another transponder.

I assumed you'd scanned it in to watch the cricket, but that doesn't make sense if you have an SS sub.

As far as I can tell SS2 is working. However, I see you appear to be using XBMC, so I can't help with that side of things. If you want help, please reproduce the problem in MP and post fresh log files. Before doing that, please clear out your old log files which are getting a bit out of hand (this might explain why the attachment upload failed).

    1. Open TV Server configuration.
    2. Click "open log directory" in the top left corner.
    3. Delete all the files you find there.

    Ok,

XMBC is just one of my clients, I use MP as the main HTPC.

So cleared all the logs. Ran a scan on Tuner A - reloaded all the channels. I removed the Channel 9 and anything non H etc (AFAIK)

Same thing occurs, I was able to tune a bunch of channels FTA as well as BBC etc, even SS1, SS1-HD, SS2 but SS2 HD failed, and also SS3-HD failed.

Here is a clean set of logs, hopefully there is something there. I have ordered an all Ports Power Pass splitter so will install that as soon as it arrives.

Thanks for all your help, much appreciated.

    From the TsReader log:
    PES H264 0-0-1 fail

This means that the stream is encrypted, implying you have configuration issues with the "plugin" you're using. I'm not able to help further than that.

Ok, So I totally understand and respect the stance on the use of 'Plugin's but it what it didn't look like a enc issue as the message is no signal.

So I am guessing the 'No signal' errors are a result of the Power Pass situatio, although what I don't understand is why channels on the same transponder fail when they appear to have a good signal when they are scanned.

Incidentally, if I manually kick off timeshift from the Manual Control menu, I can view the .ts streams fine with VLC for all the ones that were failing on signal in MP. Granted there is an issue with SS2HD ... but my point is this is happening on FTA channels.

The messages above relate to SS2.

I can't tell at this point. I do see repeated/consistent no signal messages related to SS3 HD and SS4 HD (12267 MHz); I don't see it with FTA channels, but it would be easy to miss. I think better to wait on the new splitter and provide new log files if the problem persists.
