MediaPortal Version: 1.RC4
Windows Version: Vista Premium SP1
CPU Type: 4850e
HDD: Sata
Memory: 2GB
Motherboard: GA-MA78GPM-Ds2h
Video Card: ATI HD 3200 (onboard)
Video Card Driver: 8.11
Sound Card: onboard
1. TV Card: none
MPEG2 Video Codec: MPV
MPEG2 Audio Codec: MPA
h.264 Video Codec: MPCVideoDec

Was watching HD Video files and DVD vob files perfectly OK yesterday on my Computer LCD screen with MediaPortal built in viewers.
Then plugged it into my main LCD TV for a while to check things out - again working OK.

Now this morning any of the files I play are all garbled and yellow - can make a ghost of a picture behind all the noise and can hear the audio fine.
If I then use MplayerClassic HC standalone or as the external player in MP then the same files play OK.
Same files also play OK in KMPlayer standalone (have not tried inside MP)

The only thing I can think I did was to run the MP TV-server config tool this morning to have a look what it was all about. I dont have a TV Card installed yet.

Any ideas what has gone wrong ?? I dont fancy using MPC as the external player as the remote does not work as well as for the MP built in viewer.

Thanks in advance!

I discovered that on my 22" LCD Monitor the picture is garbled BUT when I plug into my LCD TV the picture is fine.

The Monitor is connected via the DVI connector and the TV is via the onboard HDMI connector.

The Monitor is lower resolution than the TV but I always use the maximum resolution for both.

Hope this sheds a bit more light on the problem...

Has anyone come across this - any ideas please?
