My understanding is that MS MCE 2005 is adding chat support. I don't know about video though. I can see it as a bit of niche since many people wouldn't want a camera on their TV, but a cool niche nonetheless! The idea of text chats on the screen during a TV show is a good one. I PIP view of your friend's webcam would be neat too. So many cool things to do. We just need many more talented people to get all the basic functionality in place in addition to the "eye-candy" neat-o features! What's already been accomplished is just amazing. Kudos to everyone!

Cool, soo now we need a volenteer to do the coding... I can do the gfx for MCE if anyone feels up to the challange

i can get my USB WEBCAM to work in the MY TV section....so the first part is done

just need it to be streamable

If you can make a videoconference-TV you cal also make a Voice-Over-IP-TV (IP-Telephony) and than I can throw my old telephone away. :lol:
