video encoder end tv card (1 Viewer)

Hello I am trying to install media portal in recent years
to watch cable TV but I just can not get it working .

if i try to scan for a channel i get the next error.

"Install supported audio / video encoder" or something.

I've tried everything ...

I do not know what PC TV card i got but i got a " medion md 8833 " PC

I have used the ATI mpeg encoder successfully with a MSI TvAnywhere card and with a Hauppauge HVR-1250 card.
I found watching F1 racing was a bit jerky using this software mpeg encoder.

i have try tis before i think 6 moths ago whitout result.
this time its scanning end even found same tv channels.
it looks like it working

here the things what i have done:

1. install media portal 1
2. install MPEG Encoder Package.zip (MainConcept)
3. activeer plugin epg (xmltv)

4. installl plugin logo manager ( handy)

WMC scan for channels : no dubble channels and i got all chhannel logo's
mediaportal = little bit wors ( dubble scannels and no channel logos and sametime channel name wrong

but the good thing the rest i realy like and now i olso can use win 10 whidout lose my tv (wmc )

Hello I have a medion md 8833 PC.
I do not know which TV card size in my opinion a Hauppauge TV card.


I have the week media portal again tried successfully. even the sound and picture ran well if I gave up in sound and picture tab first MainConcept.

However, I later finds what set mediaportel so I've also removed the Encoder.
(I had them all Encoder installed) and therefore that I deleted all through configuration.exe of the Encoder.

But then held my media center with it off.
this gave me even more good it seemed that my Encoder wmc waaren adjusted (sometimes I kreg reporting low video bit .....)

So I re geinstallerd my entire PC updated and what a job say even update a PC ^^ after SP1 have 216+ updates ^^

Now I'm finally back online.

but now with what vraagjes first before I try again.

I do not think I can test media portal through virtualbox but go try it as I think.

Now my question:

- Hie can I install Encoder without getting rid of my existing / causes problems? .

- I need to install any Encoder or just what worked for me was MainConcept.
or hear really a bepaale at a particular tv card?

- Also, it seemed that I got some TV programs on another channel is that possible? (not so important I myself can still find out: P)
