This bug only happens if one enters to My Videos in a database view (not in Shares view).

Play a movie to completion and the watched status will not be updated.

No, it stays in unwatched status.
To be honest, I am not even sure if the watched state is even suposed to work in the DB view.

it is more logical that it will work in DB mode since the status needs to be stored in DB :) Even with the file system mode. Bug in any case (even if it has not been working earlier).

If rtv created that feature to only work in shares view (i have sent him a pm allready to clear that) then this is not a bug, but missing functionality/design error.

I can confirm that watched status worked perfectly before RC3 using DB view. In fact, all my videos that were watched BEFORE RC3 display as watched. Only videos watched in RC3 do not.

As of RC3 there are two separate issues:
    1. When using Shares view the watched property is only updated AFTER you exit and return. You do not need to exit Videos, you only need to go up a level and back or to another folder and back (if your files are in diff folders as mine are). This issue has already been reported by i-loop in Mantis Issue 2903
    2. Migue is reporting a new/different issue - that the watched status does not appear for any video in DB view which has been watched in RC3. It does show the watched status for those videos that were watched before RC3. So the problem is that RC3 is not updating the watched status any longer once the video is played. IF you update the watched status using IMDB, then it does display as watched.

EDIT: So yes I-loop it is definitely a bug. I added it to Mantis Issue 2906

No, that patch doesn't fix this bug.
Keep in mind this bugs only happens if you first enter to My Videos through a database view (i.e. Titles).
If you enter in Shares View and then switch to Titles it works fine.
