MediaPortal Version: 1.0
MediaPortal Skin: Monochrome
Windows Version: Windows XP SP2
CPU Type: Intel P4 2.4ghz @ 2.53ghz
HDD: System 58gb, Storage Samsung 1tb
Memory: 2gb DDR
Motherboard: Abit IT-7 Max 2
Video Card: ATI Radeon 9800
Video Card Driver: 6.14.10.6462
Sound Card: Avance AC97 audio (on-board)
Sound Card Driver: 5.10.0.3830
MPEG2 Video Codec: CyberLink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD8)
MPEG2 Audio Codec: Same
h.264 Video Codec: CoreAVC Video Decoder
Cooling: Random fans
Power Supply: 600watt
TV: Samsung 56" DLP
TV - HTPC Connection: VGA

Major annoyance here - have gone through the previous threads on audio\video lag and found no solution.

All of my ripped movies are in .vob format (renamed to mpg). They play fine before I seek, but any time after seeking (i.e. +5min or -5min), the audio and video are WAY out of sync. If I exit MediaPortal, then come back into it and resume playback of the file, the sync is fine - until I seek.

AVIs play fine - no problem there.

Tried it using EVR instead of VMR9 as well, still there.

Sounds like it could be a codec issue and while Cyberlink PDVD8 should be fine, have you tried changing your MPEG2 Video and Audio codecs to MPV and MPA respectively as a test?
