Video playback glitches (1 Viewer)

I'm having minor glitches when playing back video in Mediaportal v1.2.2. The video will stutter briefly - playing back the same split-second of audio/video three times before contunuing as normal.
This happens with TV recordings made with MP as well as Divx/XVid videos downloaded from the net. Has anyone else noticed this problem?
I'm running Windows 7 Enterprise on an Asus P8Z68-VLX system.

Anything possibly scanning these files, ie windows defender update recently affected video playback for some users, but could be any antivrus\antispyware software.

After that we would need more information, ie processor etc.

Windows Defender isn't enabled - I use AVG for AV. The scheduled scans aren't running when these glitches occur.
System details are:



- Asus M4A785D-M PRO AM3 Motherboard


- AMD Athlon II X2 240E Dual Core CPU - 2.8GHz 2MB L2 Cache Socket AM3 / 45W
- 4Gb RAM
The problems occur with both files on the local HDD and also files on a network share.

Try excluding the Media Portal directories from the AV, as well as the media directories.
I think PD is pointing you in the right direction, but to do any more testing then logs will be required
