Synopsis:: -

In 0.2 RC4 i used MPEG2DEC Videoencoder and the picture was wonderful. Fits the screen and was razorsharp.

Then i upgraded to 0.2 and the problems begun.

My movies recorded with a hauppauge pvr-350 card doesn´t fit the screen anymore and they are blurry and not sharp.
The movies have an resolution of 720x576 (PAL).

The resolution of my graphic card is 720x576 and 50hz.

MPEG2DEC dissapeared, for that MPV & MPA Encoder was added.
In the MPV Encoder i tried every setting. No solution.

To see what i mean, i attached a picture.
A picture says more then 1000 words ...

When i play DVD´s something strange happened.
All the trailers, Warnings etc. are blurry and smaller than the screen, too. When the Mainmovie starts, it fits the screen and the picture becomes sharp.

DVD and MyMovies uses the same Decoder (MPV).

I tried different Zoom mode settings, but nothing worked.
So i set it back to normal.

I hope you could help me, thanks.

Marcus ...

PS: Excuse my english, please ;-)

    Hi,

Please try removing the following registry key:
    Code:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Gabest\
Make sure the MPV/MPA codec is not active while you're trying this. Then restart MP and try again. BTW, MPV is just the new name for MPEG2Dec the author (Gabest) chose. So, it's just been upgraded.

    Kind regards,
    Michel

you could also try to delete the calibration* files in your MP dir.

No, the problems are any movie files.
And no, i didn´t tried the nvidia codecs. I think it is not a codec prob, it seemed like a screen calibration problem.

Tried your reg hack, unfort. not better.

    I don´t have calibration* files ?!?
    Where are these files ?

It seemed like a screen calibration problem. If i changed the setting in MP i can make the borders bigger or smaller.
Especialy if i changed the wireframe box in the calibration settings.

But whatever "cornerarrows" setting or "wireframebox" setting i choose i cannot get a complete fitted screen for movies AND pictures (jpgs, gifs etc.).

If i have a good screen for pics the movies have black borders, and if i have a good screen for movies, the pictures are cut.

    Thanks for support ...
